Recently, the first phase of Henan YuTian Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s project for converting coke oven gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) at a rate of 3×30,000 m3/h was commissioned, marking the official start of production for this project. It is reported that the project is located in the Tongye Coal Chemical Industry Park in Anyang County, Henan Province. With a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan, it will be constructed in three phases. The project utilizes the LNG production technology based on coke oven gas developed by Xindi Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and it is being built by Xi’an Huajiang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. The first phase of the project entered the single-unit trial operation stage in March 2017. Henan Yutian Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Shuncheng Group in Henan Province. The 3×30,000 m3/h project for converting coking gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) is a deep-processing project undertaken by Shuncheng Group to accelerate its transformation and upgrading, optimize its industrial structure, enhance its product brands, and develop new economic areas. The product is widely used in large-scale transport vehicles as well as in civilian and industrial production, and represents an important direction for the further processing of coke oven gas. Established in 1997, Henan Shuncheng Group is a private enterprise that integrates coal mining, washing and processing, coking, chemical manufacturing, power generation, and investment. It includes various companies such as Henan Shuncheng Group Coal and Coke Co., Ltd., Henan Yutian Chemical Co., Ltd., Henan Yutian Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Anyang Xijian Chemical Co., Ltd., Henan Shuncheng Group Materials Trading Co., Ltd., Henan Shuntian Logistics Co., Ltd., Anyang Zhongyang Coal Washing Co., Ltd., and Anyang Longdu Coal Washing Co., Ltd. The head office of the group is located in the Tongye Coal Chemical Industry Park in Anyang County, covering an area of 1.29 million square meters, with total assets amounting to 4.7 billion yuan. The 300,000 tons per year coal tar hydrogenation refining project is a project undertaken by Yutian Chemical Company of Shuncheng Group, with an planned investment of 650 million yuan. It utilizes innovative domestic technologies, and its products include high-quality asphalt, industrial naphthalene, crude phenol, as well as gasoline, diesel, lubricating oils, liquefied gas, and more. Construction began in October 2012, and the first phase of the project (conventional processing) has now been largely completed. The 150,000 m3/h coke oven gas vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization acid production project is being constructed in the name of the Coal Coking Company, with an estimated investment of 210 million yuan. It utilizes advanced domestic vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization technology as well as the WSA acid production technology from the Danish company Topsoe. The product produced is 98% concentrated sulfuric acid, which can be used directly in the company’s sulfuric acid production processes, thereby enabling clean production and a circular economy. The desulfurization section of the project has been completed, and the acid production section is under construction.
