I would like to ask everyone whether turbine expanders are widely used in LNG-based cold energy power generation. Could you please provide more details? I’m mainly interested in understanding the role of turbine expanders in this area
There should be more of them in the future, after all, it’s just a waste since they’re used for heat exchange with seawater or air
To put it simply, it’s an ORC cycle process using LNG as the cooling source; the expander is fine, but the overall thermal efficiency of the system is not high
