The main domestic producer of foam glass is Zhen Shen in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, which is also the company responsible for formulating the standards. Among these, PIR is widely used due to its low cost; it can be produced by both large factories with hundreds of employees and small workshops with just two or three people. However, its drawback is that the heat loss increases significantly after two or three years of use, requiring replacement at that point. Among elastic insulation materials, the brands with the most presence in the Chinese market at present are German Ales and Italian Fulux; both are European brands that have factories in China and operate on an agency sales basis. Their prices are higher than those of PIR materials, but their performance is excellent – heat loss remains low even after long-term use. They are also easy to install, and their service life can range from 5 to 10 years or even longer. Currently, they are mainly used by large domestic gas companies and private owners who place a high value on cost-effectiveness ； Considering load-bearing capacity, glass bricks are currently mainly used for large tanks at LNG sites.
