The project is invested and constructed by Xinjiang Jurong Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 2.7 billion yuan. It is located in the Kezuohouqi Park of the Tongliao Industrial Transfer Development Zone, and aims to build an LNG plant with an annual production capacity of 1 million tons and a daily processing capacity of 4.8 million cubic meters of natural gas. At the same time, over 20 comprehensive service stations for fueling, gas filling, hydrogen refueling, and charging will be built across Tongliao City, along with more than 300 LNG transport trucks. Construction on the project has already begun, with commissioning expected in June 2026. Once the project reaches full capacity and operational efficiency, it is expected to generate an industrial output value of around 7.3 billion yuan, as well as profits and taxes amounting to 470 million yuan; in addition, it will create more than 1,100 new job opportunities. Once the project is implemented, it will result in annual logistics cost savings of around 1 billion yuan compared to diesel transportation, as well as a reduction of 900,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year. Additionally, it will make full use of the gas storage capabilities of these liquid handling facilities for peak load management, thereby addressing the issues related to natural gas storage and peak load regulation in eastern Mongolia, the Northeast, and North China.
