Qatar Energy will supply LNG to Egypt

　　According to Sinochem News, on January 5, Qatar Energy announced that it had signed an agreement with Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company to supply up to 24 ships’ worth of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Egypt by the summer of 2026. Although the statement did not specify a precise figure, the agreement marks a further deepening of energy cooperation between the two countries. 　　According to a statement on Qatari Energy’s official website, the two parties will also initiate negotiations regarding \"an increased long-term LNG supply from Qatari Energy to Egypt.\" Meanwhile, Qatar Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector, with a particular focus on LNG supply. 　　Saad Sherida Al-Kabbi, President and CEO of Qatar Energy, said: “This agreement is built on the successful cooperation between the two countries in recent times.” ”He pointed out that Egypt’s energy demand continues to rise in order to achieve strong economic and industrial growth.
