I wonder what determines the diameter of the inlet and outlet pipelines at LNG vaporization stations? For example, the station has 8 150m3 storage tanks, 4 LNG unloading platforms, and 10 4000m3/h air-cooled vaporizers; what should be the appropriate diameter for the LNG inlet and outlet pipes in such a station?

(1) Generally, the LNG flow velocity is set at 2-5 m/s; the pipe diameter should be a round number, and then the flow velocity can be calculated inversely – anything close to that value will suffice; (2) 150 storage tank, general liquid outlet DN50 or DN65 ; (3) The gasification station above is equipped with 10 4000-type air-temperature gasifiers, arranged in 2 groups; each group has a gasification capacity of 20,000 Nm3/h. An 80-sized pipeline is sufficient for the liquid phase, while a 50-sized pipeline is required at the inlet of the gasifiers.

The liquid phase definitely requires insulation, as well as inlet and outlet pipes for the liquid.
Based on the capacity of the vaporizer, it is estimated that the gas consumption will be over 20,000. To maintain a stable supply, there needs to be a balance between inflow and outflow; accordingly, the inflow and outflow of liquid should be 34 cubic meters, with the liquid-phase pipeline needing to have a capacity of at least 80 cubic meters.
