CSSC 711 Institute receives order for domestically produced LNG refueling system

Recently, CSIC 711 Institute and Jiangsu Yixiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. officially signed a contract for the procurement of a ship-to-ship LNG (liquefied natural gas) refueling system. This system was entirely developed independently by 711 Institute, possessing full independent intellectual property rights. Its core technical parameters are at the international advanced level, marking a solid step forward in the process of localizing LNG refueling equipment. The ship-to-ship refueling system, which incorporates low-temperature flexible hoses, dry quick connectors (QC/DC), emergency release devices (ERC), pneumatic power units (PPU), vessel distance monitors (VSD), saddles, and descent control systems, provides safe and efficient fuel refueling services at sea and on inland waterways for various types of alternative fuel vessels. The system adopts a zero-leakage dry connection design, has obtained DNV AIP certification as well as CCS type approval for its key equipment, and possesses the capability for complete domestic production from design to manufacturing. 711 has been deeply involved in the key technologies related to low-temperature fluid filling, accumulating extensive engineering experience in this field. The methanol ship-to-ship refueling system developed independently has been successfully put into commercial operation in projects such as the \"Daqing 268\" and \"Jianhang Lida\". With the signing of this LNG refueling system contract, Institute 711 has successfully established a product portfolio for ship-to-ship refueling using both methanol and LNG as low-carbon fuels, thereby expanding the market for green propulsion solutions for ships. Next, 711 Institute will advance project delivery to high standards, continuously improve the core technologies related to low-temperature special equipment, and expand the range of green and low-carbon fueling products for ships, thereby contributing to the green transformation of China’s shipbuilding industry as well as the high-quality development of the clean energy fueling industry chain.
