This shouldn’t be a casual business deal – if they don’t even know who the customer is, how can they give you a quote? Even if some salespeople give you a quote, I assume such people are new to the industry and eager to close a deal. But once that quote reaches your purchasing team, it will basically be treated as trash, as they won’t fully trust a quote from an online post. I guess you’re also in a hurry to get a quote for budgeting and reporting purposes, just to get things done, right? Business activities have their own rules and requirements.
