The current electrolyte is no longer transparent and appears cloudy, seemingly due to a high oil content. Will this affect the measurement of water content? Is it necessary to replace it?

The instruction manual includes steps for replacing the electrolyte, and the manufacturer who supplied the instrument should have provided a few bottles of electrolyte along with it – check there.
In both the Coulometric method and the volumetric method, it is best for the solution in the system to be clear and transparent.
