The company is in the alcohol industry and has several gas chromatographs. For analyzing edible alcohol with concentrations of around 95° and 96°, capillary columns are used; the impurities such as methanol detected in this process are expressed as concentrations. For analyzing anhydrous alcohol (including the raw material, which is the aforementioned edible alcohol), packed columns are used, and the impurities like methanol detected in this case are expressed as masses. I would like to ask whether the measurement results for anhydrous alcohol can also be displayed as concentrations
These two detectors of yours are different, right? Are they all TCD?
The one with a packed column is from Agilent; it’s probably a TCD. The other capillary columns are domestic-made and are FID types
