The company is about to carry out major repairs, and this chromatograph is intended for detecting organic flammable gases. After turning on the device, press the DET button, and it shows that the detector is not installed – \"detector is not installed\". What’s going on? How can this be fixed?
Is there a problem with the online connection, or has the detector been removed?

Just replace the detector motherboard and it’ll be fine
In chromatographs manufactured by large companies, the detector is generally connected to the main board through the circuit of a dedicated detection module, either via the bus on the main board or through some specialized interface, thereby enabling the main board to recognize the detector. During the power-on self-test, the default detector is certainly checked, and at the same time it is verified whether any other non-default detectors are connected. It is very rare for the self-test to fail to detect any detectors. Based on my personal judgment, aside from a power supply issue with the detector module, it is likely that there is an error or malfunction in the detector’s interface or communication, or there is a problem with the power supply of the detector module or circuit board ； As for the FID detector, being a high-impedance detector, any damage to the insulation or grounding of the circuit board can cause abnormalities in the detector’s amplification circuit. Only those who use the instruments regularly, as well as maintenance engineers from instrument manufacturers with comprehensive technical knowledge, are familiar with this situation.
