I recently had several water samples tested, and the reports provided by the third-party testing laboratory did not include any spectrograms. They said that this is the standard format for their reports; they could provide me with the spectrograms if I wanted them, but they weren’t included in the reports. I was wondering if this is normal? The composition analysis tests I conducted before all came with spectra.
This is normal. Different third-party testing agencies may have varying report formats and contents. Some organizations include spectra in their reports, while others may provide only textual results and analyses. If you need a spectrum, you can clearly state this requirement to them. Although it is not in the report template, they can provide it additionally. I remember that in future collaborations, if there are any special requirements, it’s best to mention them clearly before signing the contract or starting the cooperation, so as to avoid unnecessary complications later on. .
That’s true; I had no experience before and thought everything was included, but I really need to be more careful from now on
