Experimenters must be equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment; anyone entering the laboratory must wear long-sleeved lab coats or protective garments of suitable material. Wear protective glasses, gloves, safety helmets, respirators, or masks as needed. Precautions: (1) Choose the correct and appropriate personal protective equipment to wear. (2) Respirators or masks must be within their expiration date, and should be stored sealed when not in use. (3) Contact lenses must not be worn when conducting chemical, biological safety, and high-temperature experiments. (4) Do not wear long scarves, silk scarves, ties, etc. when operating rotating equipment such as machine tools. (5) Wearing chemical or biological laboratory coats or gloves, one must not enter non-laboratory areas casually; with gloves on, one must not touch public items such as doorknobs and elevator buttons. (6) Personal protective equipment is stored separately and clearly labeled, to facilitate access in emergency situations.
