How is the waste alkali from the currently operating alkylation unit handled? Is it feasible for flue gas desulfurization?
The concentration of waste alkali in the device ranges from 1% to 5%; the alkali concentration required for flue gas desulfurization is unknown
The spent alkali solution contains small amounts of esters and oil; in my opinion, there should be no problem with using an open-type desulfurization tower
It is feasible; the flue gas can be used to neutralize the desulfurization water. It can reduce the amount of alkali used in boilers
Additionally, alkylated spent alkali can also be used to neutralize the dilute acid in waste acid treatment units.
It is possible after preliminary separation, by removing the small amount of esters and oils present
