Recently, more C4 has been produced by MTO units; it is worth exploring whether it is feasible to use this C4, after isomerization, to produce MMA, as well as to provide an overview of the MMA production process and investment requirements.
MMA requires relatively pure isobutylene, with a purity of around 99.9%; it cannot contain elements such as sulfur or chlorine.
