According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has newly obtained an invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “A hydrogenation reactor and hydrogenation method for producing hydrogen peroxide using the anthraquinone process”, with the patent application number CN202310895579.1; the grant date is October 3, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention provides a hydrogenation reactor and a hydrogenation method for producing hydrogen peroxide using the anthraquinone process. The reactor comprises an outer cylinder and at least one inner cylinder; catalyst particles are filled inside the inner cylinder. The anthraquinone working fluid enters the reactor through a liquid feed port at the top of the inner cylinder, while hydrogen enters the inner cylinder via a gas inlet at the bottom and passes through a gas distribution plate. Driven by the gas, the catalyst particles flow in a fluidized state within the inner cylinder. A catalytic reaction occurs between the hydrogen and the working fluid inside the inner cylinder; the gas is discharged through an exhaust port at the top. The reacted working fluid is deflected at the bottom of the inner cylinder and then enters the space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder, where the catalyst precipitates and separates out. The working fluid is then discharged through a liquid outlet at the upper part, resulting in a hydrogenated fluid. The present invention achieves a boiling-bed-like configuration, which facilitates the uniform mixing of reaction materials and catalyst. It ensures good mass and heat transfer within the system, minimizes side reactions, and yields high-quality products. It effectively addresses the issue of hot spots that occur during the production process in fixed-bed hydrogenation reactors. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has obtained 2,916 new patent approvals, a decrease of 27.17% compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2025, the company invested 6.186 billion yuan in research and development during this period, representing a 3.05% increase compared to the previous year.
