What are the uses of anhydrous liquid ammonia produced by the acidic water stripping unit in refineries? Is it the same as synthetic ammonia?
This post was last edited by qugd on 2020-11-23 at 10:21. There is essentially no difference between the ammonia produced and the liquid ammonia recovered through gas stripping of acidic water. However, due to the characteristics of the ammonia recovery process, the trace impurities present are different, especially with trace hydrocarbons. As for moisture, it is an impurity present in all liquid ammonia. The uses can be exactly the same, but in cases where strict requirements exist regarding the impurity levels in liquid ammonia, targeted measures can be taken through product quality control. If it is still used for ammonia injection in factory water treatment, there is no issue with the recovered liquid ammonia.
