On September 29, the signing ceremony for medium- and long-term coal contracts for the fourth quarter between Shanxi Province and 14 provinces and municipalities aimed at ensuring supply was held in Taiyuan, Shanxi. In accordance with relevant requirements, coal enterprises based in Shanxi under central government jurisdiction will ensure coal supply to five provinces and municipalities: Tianjin, Fujian, Hebei, Guangdong, and Liaoning. Jineng Holding Group Co., Ltd. will be responsible for supplying coal to six provinces and municipalities—Guangxi, Jiangsu, Jilin, Anhui, Shanghai, and Zhejiang. Shanxi Coking Coal Group is tasked with ensuring coal supply to Henan Province; Huayang New Materials Group is responsible for Hainan Province; and Lu’an Chemical Industry Group handles the supply needs of Shandong Province. The remaining supply responsibilities are to be undertaken by coal enterprises in various cities within Shanxi Province. Yao Shaofeng, director of the Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau, said that both supply and demand sides should conduct contract negotiations in strict accordance with their respective responsibilities. Enterprises tasked with ensuring energy supply must fully fulfill the contracted volumes without any reduction, and the contract signing rate should reach 100%. Both supply and demand sides should break down medium- and long-term contracts into monthly plans, make reasonable arrangements for shipping and unloading schedules, and ensure a high contract fulfillment rate. Since the beginning of this year, the national coal market has been experiencing a situation of tight supply and high coal prices. Shanxi will fully fulfill its responsibilities as a major coal-producing province by striving to increase coal output, maintaining stable coal prices in a dynamic manner, ensuring **energy security**, and supporting the economic development of other provinces.
