Here are the different views: 1. Start directly. 2. Start after closing the outlet valve. 3. Start the standby pump directly. 4. Start the standby pump after closing the outlet valve. 5. Anything else?
If the response speed is fast, the pump can be started directly!
Check whether it is an emergency; the main process relies on pumps. If it is an emergency, observe whether there are any abnormalities in appearance (smoking? (odd smell). If the appearance is fine, start it directly. For pumps that are not used in emergency situations, it is recommended to start the backup pump first in order to identify the cause of the fault
With the inlet and outlet of the centrifugal pump open, starting it directly can cause the motor to overheat due to overload; it is better to start the backup pump instead, as the inlet of the backup pump is usually open, and once it is started, the outlet can be opened.
Visual inspection revealed no abnormalities; there was no unusual odor or leaks, and the pump rotated smoothly without any jamming. It was started directly by closing the outlet valve slightly.
