Quoted from the internet: During the demonstration operation of the new technology, the octane number of the alkylated oil derived from C4 after etherification remained stable at 98.5–99.0, which is 2–3 units higher compared to existing methods both domestically and internationally; The acid consumption in the reaction is 42 kilograms per ton, representing a reduction of about 40% compared to similar technologies using sulfuric acid. The originality of this new technology overcomes the limitations of traditional technologies, enables high-quality technological upgrades, and establishes an alkylsulfate production technology pathway that is on par with international advanced levels. This technology enables the separate design of alkylation routes using C3 and C5 olefins as raw materials, and it can further optimize the processing structure of refineries; it boasts advantages in terms of diversification of raw materials, improvement of product quality, and green and low-carbon capabilities. Main technological advancements: (1) The first large-scale reactor for hypergravity alkylation was developed. A newly designed reactor structure that combines enhanced mass transfer with instant heat removal has been developed, enabling acid-oil mass transfer and temperature control at the micro-scale reaction site, thus facilitating directed reactions with high selectivity and high conversion rates at low temperatures. (2) An autonomous kiloton-class supergravity alkylation reaction system was designed, which cleverly achieves low-temperature coupled control between the second and first reaction zones, thus realizing a process strategy that maximizes reaction synergy for two different olefin feedstocks under varying main reaction rates, as well as optimizing the efficiency and quality of the alkylated oil production.
With a high octane number and low acid consumption, it is capable of processing C3 and C5 olefins; such alkylation techniques represent a significant advancement over the traditional sulfuric acid method
