Sinopec produces high-performance polypropylene using domestic catalysts in the loop process for the first time 2025-07-18 16:22:02 Not long ago, the Zhejiang Anlian Polypropylene Plant successfully manufactured the medium-melting high-impact polypropylene PPB-MP17 product. This is the first time Sinopec has used domestically produced catalysts to develop this grade of product through the polypropylene loop process, marking a historic breakthrough for loop process technology in the production of high-performance polypropylene. PPB-MP17 is a medium-melting-point, high-impact resistance polypropylene that boasts excellent impact resistance and good rigidity, and is widely used in the production of key automotive components such as bumpers and dashboards. To ensure the smooth trial production of the new product, Zhong’an United made thorough preparations. Led by its professional management department, it organized units responsible for production and research and development to hold multiple technical exchanges with experts from Beihua Institute, formulated a detailed trial production plan, and took comprehensive measures to mitigate production risks. During the transition of the plant to new production, production technicians strictly monitor the key performance indicators related to plant operation, continuously optimizing and adjusting process parameters to ensure stable plant functioning ； A team of experts from the North China Institute of Chemical Technology was stationed on site to provide technical support to ensure that all parameters of the new domestic catalyst met the desired standards, thus guaranteeing the production of qualified PPB-MP17 products in the polypropylene plant.
