On July 29, significant progress was made in the construction of the Huajin AAME fine chemicals and raw materials project; 11 units, including those for sulfur recovery, were mechanically completed on the same day, and work on the \"three inspections and four determinations\" process began, marking the transition of the project from the construction phase to the production preparation phase. The facilities completed on that day included a sulfur recovery unit, an acidic water stripping unit, a solvent regeneration unit, a 400,000-ton/year coker naphtha hydrogenation unit, a 1.6 million-ton/year coal diesel hydrogenation unit, a 1.8 million-ton/year gasoline hydrogenation unit, 2 sets of 500,000-ton/year polypropylene units, a 200,000-ton/year high-density polyethylene unit, a 450,000-ton/year low-density polyethylene unit, and a 300,000-ton/year propylene oxide unit. It is reported that the project is located in the Liaobin Coastal Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 83.7 billion yuan. The main construction elements include the establishment of 32 production units, such as one with a capacity of 15 million tons per year for oil refining, one with a capacity of 1.65 million tons per year for ethylene production, and one with a capacity of 2 million tons per year for PX production, along with associated facilities. Since the project began in 2023, tens of thousands of construction workers have been working at the Liaodong Bay project site. Over the course of 28 months, this wasteland covered with Salsola plants has now transformed into a new chemical industry city filled with towers and structures, with its outlines clearly defined. According to Wang Zhanshan, project manager at Sinopec Fourth Construction Co., Ltd., the project team achieved seamless coordination in the construction of various elements such as civil works, steel structures, equipment, pipelines, and electrical systems through scientific organization and efficient collaboration. This approach helped to minimize the construction timeline while simultaneously improving the overall quality of the construction. Next, the Huajin AAME project team will strictly adhere to the relevant standards and proceed in an orderly manner with the \"three inspections and four determinations\" process, addressing all existing shortcomings to lay a solid foundation for a high-quality intermediate handover of the project and ensuring its steady progress.
