Recently, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission released the \"Typical Green and Low-Carbon Cases in Jiangsu Province for 2025 – Industrial Energy Conservation Section.\" One of the company’s technologies was selected for inclusion in this list. Take a look: the project titled \"Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reduction Technologies for Digital Industrial Circulating Water Systems,\" implemented by Yangzi Petrochemical’s No. 1 circulating water plant, was included in the 2025 list of Typical Green and Low-Carbon Cases in Jiangsu Province. This project utilizes the advanced \"HFY&JN energy-saving fluid transportation technology\"; by creating digital models to accurately analyze key aspects such as system pressure, flow rate, and heat exchange bottlenecks, it carried out optimizations to the pipeline network and the power systems. The original 6 water pumps were replaced with high-efficiency, energy-saving pumps whose efficiency exceeds 90%, while optimized pipe fittings were used as well as an additional booster pump system. This approach effectively addressed the issues of low operational efficiency and high unnecessary energy consumption associated with traditional systems. Statistics show that this project has achieved remarkable results: it saves up to 13 million kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to reducing the consumption of thousands of tons of standard coal, thus delivering benefits both economically and environmentally ; At the same time, a reduction of 12,300 tons in carbon dioxide emissions per year can help Yangzi Petrochemical achieve more than 30% of its own carbon emission reduction targets. The successful implementation of this project provides a replicable and scalable model for the green upgrading of heavy chemical industry clusters along the Yangtze River. The technical approach demonstrated in it is particularly suitable for energy-intensive systems in industries such as petrochemicals, steel, and chemicals, where the annual water consumption exceeds one million tons and the power of water pumps is greater than 500 kW. It plays an important role in serving as a model and driving force for the green and low-carbon transformation of the industrial zones along the river.
