On October 13, the Global R&D Center and New Materials Integrated Industrial Park project of Hengshen Group commenced construction in Lianjiang County, Fujian Province. The total investment in Hengshen’s Global R&D Center and New Materials Integrated Industrial Park project is approximately 6 billion yuan. The project covers a total land area of 1,000 mu, with a total construction area of around 667,000 square meters. It is scheduled to be completed and put into operation gradually starting in 2027. The project aims to establish a hub for innovation in the fields of high-end fine chemicals and new materials. Its key components include the Hengshen Global R&D Center, a **-grade pilot production facility, as well as a comprehensive technical upgrade of the existing caprolactam production lines. This layout aims to establish a complete innovation chain of \"research and development—pilot testing—industrialization\", ranging from basic research and development to technical pilot testing and large-scale production, thereby significantly improving the efficiency of tackling technical challenges and translating achievements into practical applications. This project will help Hengshen Group transition from being a leader in global production capacity to one in global technology. By fostering an environment for independent innovation, it will enable significant reductions in manufacturing costs, as well as a marked decline in energy consumption and carbon emissions. This will strengthen Hengshen Group’s position in the industry and contribute to the high-quality development of the regional economy.
