Quanzhou Petrochemical Successfully Produces a New Generation of Heat-Resistant Polyethylene Pipe Materials 2025-08-14 18:48:00 On August 1, Quanzhou Petrochemical’s high-density polyethylene (HDPE) production facility successfully manufactured a new generation of heat-resistant polyethylene pipe materials, QZRTm3606 (PERT Type I), marking another breakthrough in the field of high-end polyolefin pipes. As an innovative product designed specifically for the field of building HVAC and hot water piping, QZRTm3606 was developed using Quanzhou Petrochemical’s advanced metallocene catalyst system, and it boasts excellent heat resistance, flexibility, temperature stability, and chemical resistance. The pipes made from it can be used for extended periods under harsh operating conditions of 70°C and 0.8 MPa, and are less prone to cracking or deformation due to thermal stress, making them suitable for hot water circulation systems that operate dynamically over long periods of time.
