On August 27, in front of the warehouse of Daxie Petrochemical’s 2×450,000 tons per year polypropylene production facility, a freight truck loaded with PPH-T03 polypropylene particles slowly left the factory premises. This marked not only the official introduction of the first batch of polypropylene products produced by the new facility, but also signified the successful completion of the entire process from construction and commissioning to market release. It injected new vitality into the company’s polypropylene business and laid a solid foundation for the development of the high-end chemical industry chain. The polypropylene unit of the Phase V project at Daxie Petrochemical utilizes the third-generation ST loop reactor polypropylene process technology developed independently by Sinopec. Thanks to its strong technical capabilities, this unit is able to produce a variety of products such as homopolymers, random copolymers, and impact-resistant copolymers, thereby overcoming the limitations in production capacity and product range associated with traditional units. The project also introduces an intelligent stereoscopic warehouse system, integrating the concept of \"smart chemical manufacturing\" throughout. Intelligent stackers ensure precise operations, while the intelligent management system enables efficient scheduling, thus achieving fully automated management of polypropylene products from production to shipment and significantly improving storage efficiency. At the same time, thanks to digital twin technology, the project enables real-time monitoring of inventory status, ensuring that each batch of products can be traced, thus providing a double layer of protection for product quality and safety. It also sets a new benchmark for the intelligent upgrading of the chemical industry. The first batch of homopolymer polypropylene PPH-T03 products, thanks to their excellent properties of high rigidity and high heat resistance, will be primarily used in high-end injection molding applications, providing high-quality raw materials to support the upgrading of downstream industries. After rigorous testing, all specifications of the product meet the standards.
