Sinopec has been granted an invention patent: “A device, method, and application for the hydrogenation of bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A”. On September 27, 2025, data from the Tianyancha app showed that Sinopec (600028) has received a new invention patent; the title of this patent is “A device, method, and application for the hydrogenation of bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A”. The patent application number is CN202310838885.1, and the date of grant was September 26, 2025. Patent Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus, method, and application for the hydrogenation of bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A. A device for the hydrogenation of bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A, comprising a hydrogen supply unit, a bisphenol A supply unit, and a bubble plate column ； The bubble tray column includes a liquid feed inlet, a gas feed inlet, a liquid outlet, and a gas outlet ； The hydrogen supply side is connected to the gas inlet of the bubble tray column ； The bisphenol A supply side is connected to the liquid feed inlet of the bubble plate tower ； Bubble cap trays are used in the reaction of hydrogenating bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A. The present invention uses a bubble tray column for the hydrogenation of bisphenol A to produce hydrogenated bisphenol A. In the presence of a catalyst, a solution of bisphenol A enters the column from the middle and flows horizontally across the bubble tray cells before overflowing downward, where it comes into full contact with hydrogen gas entering from the lower part of the column. The conversion rate of the reactants and the yield of the product are high. Since the beginning of this year, Sinopec has obtained 2,768 new patent approvals, a decrease of 30.87% compared to the same period last year. Based on the company’s financial figures for the first half of 2025, the company invested 6.186 billion yuan in research and development during this period, representing a 3.05% increase compared to the previous year.
