According to data from the Tianyancha app, Sinopec (600028) has newly obtained an invention patent grant. The title of the patent is “A method for preparing cyclopentadiene through the depolymerization of dicyclopentadiene”, with the patent application number CN202111032256.7; the grant date is October 3, 2025. Patent abstract: The present invention discloses a method for preparing cyclopentadiene by depolymerizing dicyclopentadiene. Dicyclopentadiene is mixed with a solvent and an inhibitor, and then fed into a reactive distillation tower equipped with a falling film depolymerizer in the stripping section, where depolymerization and distillation separation take place; cyclopentadiene is obtained at the top of the tower. The present invention provides a method for preparing cyclopentadiene via the depolymerization of dicyclopentadiene, which effectively suppresses the self-polymerization reaction during the depolymerization process at low cost, thereby yielding cyclopentadiene with high yield and high purity.
