Decisive progress has been made in a key step toward turning Dongying Port into a “super port”. On November 13, the two 66KV substations designed to support the 250,000-ton crude oil import terminal were officially completed with grid commissioning and acceptance, and successfully connected to the main power grid system. This marks the beginning of strong operation of the \"power heart\" of this first large-scale single-point mooring port in the north, providing essential momentum for its safe, stable, and efficient operation. The two 66KV substations that have been successfully connected to the **power grid serve as the key power supply source for Dongying Port’s 250,000-ton crude oil import terminals. Among them, the land-based substation acts as the \"central energy control center\" for the entire project, responsible for receiving and distributing the substantial electrical power from the **power grid** ; The booster platform substation, located at the forefront, acts as a \"powerful pressure pump,\" ensuring that electrical energy is delivered steadily and efficiently to all the large loading/unloading equipment and intelligent control systems on the platform. Both stations employ China’s leading intelligent substation technology, featuring advanced functions such as remote monitoring, automatic adjustment, and rapid fault diagnosis and isolation, which significantly enhances the reliability and intelligence of the power supply system. The construction of the 250,000-ton crude oil import terminal at Dongying Port and its associated facilities has attracted considerable attention. It is the first super-large crude oil terminal in northern China to be built using the single-point mooring method, filling the gap of having no such terminals in Dongying City. It will completely change the historical reality that super oil tankers could not sail directly to Dongying Port; it will not only greatly enhance the capacity to receive imported crude oil but also effectively reduce the overall logistics costs for the petrochemical enterprises in the surrounding area. This holds significant strategic importance for promoting the development of a high-end petrochemical industry base in northern Shandong. It is reported that to date, the two 250,000-ton single-point mooring berths have been fully constructed, installed, and handed over for acceptance; core facilities such as subsea and land-based pipelines, pressure boosting platforms, and control centers have also been completed and accepted. With the successful connection to the **power grid, the main electrical equipment on the pressurization platform is now ready for commissioning.
