According to the official website of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, on November 14, Sinopec Yanshan Petrochemical Company signed a Letter of Intent for Investment Cooperation with the management committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, marking the full entry into the implementation phase of the Tianjin Nangang green, high-end rubber new materials project. 　　The total investment in this project is approximately 6 billion yuan, with the overall planning implemented in two phases. One of these phases is planned to involve an investment of 2.42 billion yuan, covering an area of 277,000 square meters. It will initially see the construction of two production units for polybutadiene rubber at a capacity of 100,000 tons per year each, as well as one unit for styrene-butadiene rubber at the same capacity, along with the necessary auxiliary facilities. Phase 2 plans to develop projects that leverage the unique strengths of Yanshan Petrochemical, and these will be launched in a timely manner based on the progress of Phase 1 construction, the relevant processes, and market conditions.
