As of December 22, the 200,000-ton/year high-pressure polyethylene plant in Unit 2 of Lanzhou Petrochemical’s polyolefin division had produced a total of 216,900 tons of polyolefin products, achieving 105.4% of the annual target and thus completing its annual production goals ahead of schedule. Since the beginning of this year, Unit 2 for Polyolefins at Lanzhou Petrochemical has been vigorously implementing a project to accelerate the development of new materials. With the core goals of overcoming key technical challenges and creating high-quality products, it established task forces to address production bottlenecks and improve quality. Through various initiatives such as competitive research projects and efforts to solve technical problems, the unit successfully tackled various complex issues related to process optimization, energy and material consumption, technical support, and equipment operation. In particular, the newly introduced PIG technology helped resolve the problem of cleaning intercoolers, thereby further unlocking the potential of the production facilities and achieving historically low levels of energy consumption. The Polyolefins Department 2 of Lanzhou Petrochemical adheres to a market-oriented approach and proactively adapts to market changes. By establishing a daily business meeting mechanism and using a \"reverse scheduling\" approach to detail daily production plans, it successfully developed a new type of highly smooth polyethylene for the first time. It also met the annual production targets for various high-value-added product grades such as medical-grade polyethylene LD26D and high-voltage cable material CL2140P, thereby further optimizing the product structure and overall efficiency. To achieve simultaneous improvements in yield and plant stability, the Polyolefins Department 2 of Lanzhou Petrochemical has established a \"135\" error-prevention mechanism, further developed the integrated operation maintenance model that combines mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and operational aspects. It has implemented detailed management strategies specific to each of the three key units – the primary compressor, the secondary compressor, and the extruder – and carries out regular switching operations as well as preventive maintenance on these critical units and pumps. By keeping a precise track of the operating conditions of the equipment, it ensures the stable, continuous, and efficient operation of the plant. On the basis of the stable operation of the equipment, the Polyolefins Department implements a customized strategy for each product type, increases the frequency of product sampling and analysis, and precisely controls key parameters such as the temperature of the extruder die, the temperature of the pellets, and the speed of the pelletizer. At the same time, a comprehensive control plan is developed to assign clear responsibilities to the engineers in charge of the production line, and a full-life cycle management approach is adopted – covering everything from the arrival of raw materials at the plant, through process control, to the delivery of finished products – to ensure that the product quality rate remains at 100% consistently. In addition, the Polyolefins Department 2 of Lanzhou Petrochemical fully mobilized the enthusiasm of all employees to engage in innovation and efficiency improvement. On one hand, it gathered suggestions from employees, resulting in 12 projects related to the \"Five Small Innovations\" initiative, 11 rationalization proposals, and 35 QC achievements. On the other hand, by leveraging the platforms provided by skill experts and model worker innovation studios, it facilitated the transformation of technical achievements into practical applications; three of these innovative projects won gold awards at the Shanghai International Invention Exhibition.
