China Chemical New Network News: Last week (April 20–24), influenced by the easing of the situation in the Middle East, oil and chemical industry indices showed mixed trends. In the chemicals sector, the chemicals raw materials index has risen by 2.21% on a cumulative basis, the chemical machinery index has risen by 6.71%, the chemical pharmaceuticals index has fallen by 1.75%, and the pesticides and fertilizers index has risen by 2.85%. In the oil sector, the oil processing index has fallen by 2.04% on a cumulative basis, the oil drilling index has risen by 2.71%, and the oil trading index has fallen by 1.30%. Last week, international crude oil prices fluctuated as a result of the easing tensions in the Middle East. As of April 24, the settlement price of WTI crude oil futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell by 1.51% to $94.40 per barrel, while the settlement price of Brent crude oil futures rose by 0.25% to $105.33 per barrel. In the spot market, the top five petrochemical products with the highest price increases were propane, up by 13.74%, 2,4D, up by 13.64%, vitamin VA, up by 12.50%, ethylene-based polyvinyl chloride, up by 12.25%, and calcium pantothenate, up by 11.90%. On the other hand, the top five petrochemical products with the lowest price declines were liquid chlorine, down by 30.67%, dichloromethane, down by 28.90%, acrylic acid, down by 9.62%, ethyl acrylate, down by 9.26%, and battery-grade lithium carbonate, down by 7.20%. From the perspective of the capital market, the top five listed companies with the highest increases were ∗ST AiAi, which saw a rise of 20.72%, Zhongfu Shenying with a 19.77% increase, ∗ST Xinchao with an 18.31% increase, Jinhong Gas with a 9.44% increase, and Lanyan Holdings with an 8.88% increase. The top five listed companies with the highest declines were Zanyu Technology, which dropped by 25.52%, Luxi Chemicals with a 22.49% decline, Qingshuiyuan with a 22.24% decline, Xingfa Group with a 22.02% decline, and Suotong Development with a 21.76% decline.
