The main fan unit is about to undergo maintenance, and some measurement data needs to be recorded. Could you please advise on what data needs to be recorded?

It ultimately depends on your own maintenance goals to decide which items to include or exclude; this isn’t something that can be explained in just a few words
First, it is necessary to determine whether your main fan is of the axial flow type or the centrifugal type. Additionally, it is important to know whether the bearings used are bushing types or rolling bearings. Taking an axial flow compressor with bushing bearings as an example, the parameters that need to be measured include coupling alignment, clearance of the thrust bearings, clearance of the radial bearings, the tightening force on the bearings. If a labyrinth seal is used for shaft sealing, then its clearance also needs to be checked; this is not necessary for dry gas seals. It is also necessary to check the clearance between stages, the clearance at the tips of the blades, and the runout of various parts of the rotor, such as the shaft diameter and the thrust disk. If the coupling and thrust disk are connected via hydraulics, then the installation position and the pressure applied need to be recorded as well. The thickness deviation of the thrust bearings also needs to be checked. That’s roughly all for the compressor housing
There is a lot of data related to the bearing shell: 1. The contact condition between the shaft and the bearing shell; 2. The lateral clearance between the bearing shell and the shaft; 3. The thickness of the bearing shell alloy; 4. The casting quality of the bearing shell alloy and the shell itself; 5. The contact condition between the bearing shell and the bearing housing; 6. The number and size of the shims used for adjusting the bearing shell; 7. Whether the oil gap in the bearing shell is appropriate; 8. The tightness between the bearing shell and the bearing housing.
