What is the purpose of that cylindrical component in the middle of the diagram, which seems to act as a lever arm? What kind of valve is this? Thank you
It should be a ball valve with a hydraulic actuator; it’s just my guess – I’ve never seen anything that advanced
The check valve – that part that looks like a lever arm is the weight rod
Check valve—should be of the gravity-assisted closing type
This should be a weight-type hydraulically controlled butterfly valve. It is both a butterfly valve and a check valve – one valve serving as two! :lol
A throttle-type check valve prevents sudden loss of power due to power outages, and stops the check valve from acting in reverse and damaging the valve. Therefore, it is designed to be decelerating.
