It seems that using this new motor with an old base plate is not in compliance with the specifications, as the motor is higher than the base plate. Is there any standard stating that the vertical projection must be within the base plate?
For the cast base, there is no fixed standard for the length of the motor base plate; only the spacing between holes is specified. Some motor manufacturers may incorporate the components directly within the base
