In our company, the dry gas seals have always been installed by personnel from the manufacturer. Although there are spare dry gas seals available, replacement still requires the manufacturer to come to the company. If any of you have experience in replacing dry gas seals or know any maintenance procedures, please share them. For example, how should dry gas seals be inspected, and what position should the rotor be in during installation?
We use compressors from Hangqi and Shengyu; they were replaced just half a month ago. It’s best to contact the manufacturers, as their service is fast, after all, these are devices worth hundreds of thousands of yuan
It won’t take a day for the manufacturer to arrive, and by the time they get there, your compressor’s bearings probably still haven’t been removed yet
Actually, replacing a dry gas seal isn’t that complicated; no special inspections are required – we certainly wouldn’t dare to disassemble it. The main thing is to ensure that the seal is in the correct position when the compressor rotor is in operation; furthermore, the installation of the seal must be done carefully and meticulously.
