A mechanical seal is a device designed to prevent fluid leakage, consisting of at least one pair of end faces perpendicular to the axis of rotation, which remain in close contact and slide relative to each other under the action of fluid pressure and the elastic force (or magnetic force) of a compensation mechanism, along with the assistance of auxiliary seals. The friction pair of a mechanical seal consists of a rotating ring and a stationary ring; the rotating ring rotates along with the shaft or shaft sleeve driven by the motor, while the stationary ring remains fixed.

If possible, participate in or manually disassemble an ordinary centrifugal pump, then use the drawings of the mechanical seal to compare them with the actual situation, so as to understand it all at once
