We use saturated steam with a temperature of 160°C and a pressure of 0.6 MPa. It has been running for 1 and a half years. Due to internal leakage, the speed is visible at startup. The inspection found that the flushing is severe. There is another one that has been running for 2 and a half years without this phenomenon. (It has not been disassembled, but at least the flushing is not as severe from the analysis of the phenomenon.) Can you guys help analyze the reason? How to deal with or avoid it?
It's a severe washout, probably caused by wet steam!
1. The saturated steam temperature is low (check the heat preservation situation); 2. Steam drainage is not timely (check the drain trap).
The actual measurement of the temperature via remote transmission is the same as the design, and the inspection of the water delivery device is also normal. Is it related to the linearity of the valve?

When it drops to a certain level, vaporization and cavitation will occur there. This is what causes it.

There is no very good way. What I can think of is to increase the hardness of this part (change the overall material or increase the hardness through local heat treatment), or reduce the flow rate, such as using larger pipes and valves.
We are preparing to add a heat exchanger to increase the temperature of the saturated steam.
