The condensate pumps of the turbines in this workshop have stopped operating suddenly and without any warning on multiple occasions. Have anyone else encountered such a situation? Is it due to the circuit? When this problem first occurred, it was not realized that the pump had stopped operating unintentionally; instead, it was thought that the rising liquid level in the condenser was causing the backup pump to start automatically. Initially, it was assumed that the automatic control valve was not functioning properly, so manual control of the valve was attempted. When this problem occurred again, more attention was paid to the operation of the pumps, and it was then discovered that the pumps would stop suddenly while still in operation (with normal liquid levels). Upon arriving at the site, the pumps could be started normally by pressing the buttons, or when the liquid level exceeded 80%, both pumps would start automatically. What could be the reason? ?
Has the motor’s overcurrent protection function activated? Have you checked the motor current?
First, check what the motor current is and whether it is overloaded. At the same time, switch the thermal protection to manual reset to check whether there is any response; if there is no manual reset function, a relay interlock can be installed using the normally open contact of the thermal relay in order to determine whether it is a false operation of the thermal relay.
