The exhaust gas compressor in the linear equipment of our company’s plastic workshop is equipped with a metal mesh air valve; due to the presence of plastic dust in the medium, this often leads to damage to the valve elements. Judging from the removed valve plates, there is dust on the valve seat, which blocks the valve channels; as a result, the valves wear out quickly and need to be replaced frequently. Which expert has encountered a similar problem and how did they solve it?
The only solution is to install a filter in front of the compressor; this filter can, if possible, be self-cleaning or require manual cleaning.
I don’t understand; this filter seems to be useless, so why are there still impurities getting in? Is the filter damaged? Is it still an unreasonable filter design? There are many filtering methods available nowadays, and it is important to choose the appropriate one.
Install dust removal equipment in front of the compressor, or find a way to address the issue of dust in the exhaust gas from the linear device.

What was said earlier is correct; what’s in front of the compressor now is probably just a very thick filter, used for protection during operation. It has no filtering effect on dust. The reason for the damage to your air valve is quite straightforward: it’s dust. Just add that kind of precision filter in front; there are many specialized manufacturers in China that produce them. However, the impact of pressure drop on the air volume and exhaust temperature of the reciprocating machine must be taken into account.
