After the maintenance of the shielded pump, there is no medium specified for operating under design conditions; what kind of medium is suitable for testing the pump, and how should the testing be carried out?
In our pump factories, water testing is carried out; after the testing, the pumps are disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled.
Generally, demineralized water is used for pump testing. The shielding sleeve is made of stainless steel, and chloride ions in water can corrode it.
Before leaving the factory, manufacturers conduct tests using clean water, and then determine various parameters by comparing them with those of the working medium: flow rate, head (exit pressure), current, vibration, temperature rise, etc., provided that the equipment is not corroded as a result.
It is usually tested with water, and based on the results, the specific gravity and viscosity of the actual medium are used for conversion
