During the operation of the turbine, the four pawl elements were inspected; it was found that at one of the coupling ends, one of the pawl elements had no gap with washer S. At the location indicated by the red line, the pawl element had a gap with the spherical washer on 4/3 of its circumference, while it was in contact on 4/1 of that circumference. What could be the reason for this? Is it because the pawl element is tilted, or because the spherical washer is not properly aligned with its support?

Agree with what was said above; there is stress in the pipelines, usually in the inlet pipelines. Check the support brackets – under such conditions, operation is not allowed
