The pneumatic diaphragm pump from a certain brand is probably the best in its class. I bought one unit; it runs for 12 hours per day. After 20 days of use, I noticed that material was leaking from the gas supply source. At first, I thought that a puncture or crack in the diaphragm was the cause of this leakage. But upon disassembly, it was found that the diaphragm was intact; therefore, the faulty component couldn’t possibly be the diaphragm itself. The problem lay in the metal plate on the air supply side, which had deformed. This deformation occurred because the soft diaphragm kept pressing against it during operation, shaping it into a cone shape. As a result of this deformation, and due to insufficient pressure to hold the diaphragm in place, the material leaked out through the middle rod. When dealing with agents, they usually act in a condescending manner and point out your problems: it must be that there’s an issue with the way you use it, with too high internal pressure being the cause. But the pressure curve showed that it remained around 0.1 Mpa, which is within the technical specifications. Since the agent had no intention of resolving the issue, I had to find a solution on my own. The agent said that the material used for tablet manufacturing was 304; so I used the harder 201 material and created the tablets in the same way as before. As a result, it deformed and the items got tangled after 6 days. I know what the problem is, but I can’t find a way to solve it. If you say the quality is fine, then problems still occur, yet they refuse to admit it’s a quality issue. Also, domestic manufacturers of pneumatic diaphragm pumps, you need to pay more attention. Even foreign brands have \"Made in China\" printed on them; you too are made in China, so why is the quality such poor?
It is recommended to try using material 2205 to see if it will deform
Is the back pressure too high? Is the pump outlet pressure plus back pressure greater than the pressure of the metal plate? In such a case, if the metal plate is under pressure for an extended period, it may deform over time
