Is the shaft of the mixer solid all the way from top to bottom?

Generally, manufacturers use different designs, but they will all provide markings. The shaft heads are basically all made from solid shafts, but some of those below use not only solid shafts but also steel pipes – it varies.

Why are shaft heads generally solid?

Since the shaft head needs to be connected to the reducer frame, keyways must be machined and the surface requires precision finishing; therefore, it is not suitable to use pipe material for making shaft heads.
