I would like to ask: if my heating furnace’s forced draft fan and exhaust fan are of the centrifugal type, with the fan blowing air into the furnace chamber while the exhaust fan removes the smoke from there, and the pressure in the furnace chamber is generally around -100 Pa or so, then both fans use motor frequency control to regulate the volume of air supplied and removed. Could surge phenomena occur in this situation? Will surge occur if there is a slight positive pressure in the furnace chamber, or if the flue dampers are closed? Thank you

Surge will not occur. Generally, centrifugal fans do not have very high pressures at the time of manufacture, and they offer a large margin for adjustment; this is different from centrifugal air compressors.
