How to adjust the cross-flow in multi-pump systems? Is there a specific answer?
1. Do not install the pump body balance plate or seals; for the modular assembly, do not install the outer cover of the positioning bearing. The dial indicator mounted on the shaft head should be used, and the maximum reading obtained by gently tapping the shaft head with a copper rod is recorded. If this maximum reading is 2 mm, then the standard value is 3 – 2 = 1 mm. An 1-mm shim can be added to the left shoulder of the positioning bearing to make the adjustment
After serial adjustment is successful, open the cover on the outside of the positioning bearing, measure the depth between the outer ring of the bearing and the outer end face of the bearing housing, and record this dimension as A1. Reinstall the pump’s balance plate without installing a seal; carry out assembly in stages. When installing the positioning bearing, turn the shaft while tightening it. If the shaft cannot be turned, measure the depth dimension A2 between the outer ring of the bearing and the end face of the bearing housing. Use the formula A1 – A2 = A3, and then A3 + 0.10 = A4. A shim of size A4 can be added on the left side of the balance drum, while the right side can be machined to achieve the desired dimension A4 ; If the shaft can be rotated after the bearing is locked, lead wire can be pressed against the balance disk for measurement; the treatment method is the same as above
2. If the gap between the flange edge on the right side of the bearing and the outer ring of the bearing is greater than three millimeters, measure it and adjust the flange accordingly
3. The calculation adjustment is the same as described in Question 1
