Hello, teachers! The company carries out wastewater treatment and biogas recovery. The process requirements are as follows: the compressor’s gas delivery rate is 420 Nm3/h; the inlet pressure of the compressor is 3–6 KPa, while the outlet pressure should be 0.7 MPa (G). The composition of the gas is as follows: 65% methane, 20–25% carbon dioxide, 5–10% nitrogen, and 8000 PPM hydrogen sulfide. Teacher, may I ask: which type of compressor is better to choose (reciprocating, water ring, diaphragm, or screw)? Thank you!

For water ring pumps, it is advisable to consider those with stable operation; the wastewater needs to be sent back to a wastewater treatment plant for further processing, and attention should be paid to using materials that are resistant to corrosion.
It has a small capacity and low outlet pressure, making it unsuitable for centrifugal and reciprocating compressors; screw compressors are recommended, as they require no high level of cleanliness in the medium and also have a moderate outlet pressure
