I think it’s completely unnecessary to use slide valves in screw compressors – what might be the missing perspective here? Reasons: 1. If the amount of flow required by my users decreases, I simply need to reduce the intake volume, and this can be achieved using a control valve. 2. The exhaust pressure is determined by the system’s backpressure; the compressor does not need to regulate this pressure. So what is the slide valve used for? Under what operating conditions is it necessary to adjust the load using a slide valve?
That makes sense. But you can customize it.

It is true that the slide valve is used to adjust the amount of air intake, but its adjustment position differs from that of the inlet brake valve; the position it adjusts can change the effective area involved in the actual operation of the screw. In other words, different operating conditions result in different power consumptions, whereas the brake valve does not have this function. I’m not an engineer; this is just my personal understanding, please forgive me!
