As a key project for capacity and investment cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia, and as part of the third batch of special projects funded by foreign investment, the Sino-Saudi Ghulay Ethylene Project, with a total investment of 44.8 billion yuan, represents an important example of the close integration between the Belt and Road Initiative and Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision. “The ethylene plant, with an annual production capacity of up to 1.8 million tons, serves as the core of the entire Zhongsha Gulei ethylene project; the pyrolysis gas compressor that has been installed is essentially the ‘heart’ of this core facility. ”According to Hou Jingkai, the plant manager for the Zhongsha Gulei ethylene project at the Beijing branch of China Global Engineering Co., Ltd., the pyrolysis gas compressor is an engine that enables the smooth circulation of \"high-temperature pyrolysis gas\" during the production process. It also serves as a key component for transporting raw materials to the downstream separation systems, acting as the \"lifeline\" and \"energy hub\" for the stable operation of the entire plant. It is worth noting that the \"China Heart,\" with a total weight of over 600 tons, is composed of thousands of components, and its assembly precision reaches as high as 0.005 millimeters, which is one twentynd of the thickness of an A4 sheet of paper. Furthermore, the positioning accuracy of this equipment must reach 0.02 millimeters; such stringent requirements pose a significant challenge to the on-site lifting operations.
