This unit employs deep backpressure technology, enabling efficient matching of energy demands for production and significantly reducing energy consumption costs. The unit consists of a 410 tons/hour subcritical circulating fluidized bed boiler and a 50 megawatt deep back-pressure steam turbine generator, along with supporting systems for desalinated water and fuel preparation and delivery. As the infrastructure project for Jiujiang Petrochemical’s 1.5 million tons per year aromatic compounds and refining expansion project, once operational it will be able to generate 343 million kWh of electricity and 5.9728 million GJ of heat annually, thereby significantly improving the overall efficiency of energy utilization in the power system and providing a solid foundation in terms of utility services for the progress of this project. At present, companies are forming model worker teams to tackle challenges by strengthening operational training, conducting thorough inspections, and optimizing steam usage; they are also accurately measuring operational efficiency under different load conditions and accumulating experience in operating unitized subcritical units to ensure safe and stable production. This breakthrough not only enhances the capacity for efficient energy supply but also provides new approaches for the green and low-carbon transformation of the petrochemical industry.
